Condensation Monodisperse Aerosol Generator 3475

Model Number: 3475

If your application requires high concentrations of monodisperse spherical and uncharged particles, the Condensation Monodisperse Aerosol Generator* (CMAG) Model 3475 may be an excellent solution for you. This Sinclair-LaMer type generator uses a condensation-based method to create singular size particles from oils, waxes, and similar materials. The resulting particles are in the range of 0.1 - 8 µm. The CMAG is a very useful tool for challenging HEPA and ULPA filters, seeding wind tunnels, conducting inhalation studies, and other applications that require high concentrations of monodisperse particles.

Product Details

The CMAG uses nitrogen as carrier gas and condenses vapor onto condensation nuclei. This produces highly monodisperse particles in concentrations greater than 106 particles/cm3 at a flow rate of 4 L/min. These particles are in the range from 0.1 to 8 µm and can be fluorescently or radioactively labeled. The CMAG offers rapid response when changing aerosol size, and it can operate for long periods without interruption.

*Availability limited in Europe.
