Hardware drivers are integral parts of the Insight 4G software platform.  The drivers are needed to make sure that all the hardware used with the PIV system, such as camera and synchronizer, are able to be executed correctly with the software, giving the proper functions for data acquisition through the commands from the Insight 4G software.

Insight 4G contains full hardware control from the user interface, meaning that once the hardware is turned on, image capture synchronization is controlled completely through the software.  In addition to hardware control, Insight 4G performs all types of velocity and intensity analysis with the latest state of the art algorithms for

  • Particle image velocimetry (2D PIV)
  • Stereoscopic Particle image velocimetry (stereo PIV)
  • Time-Resolved Particle image velocimetry (TR-PIV)
  • Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF)
  • Global Sizing Velocimetry (GSV) and Spray Analysis
  • Size and Shape Analysis (SSA)

In order to ensure the proper functioning of the hardware of the system, it is necessary to get update of the hardware drivers when the software operation system or your computer system is changed.  The hardware driver is available through the TSI Software and Firmware Wizard page in the TSI website.

Once the Insight 4G software is typed, you have the selection of the hardware drivers for the various types of hardware used in your system.  From the folder if Drivers, there are a number of drivers to be selected.

Select the folder “Drivers”:

Select the appropriate drivers for your hardware:

Copy the driver(s) in your Insight 4G software folder.  Unzip the driver(s) and the latest driver(s) will be automatically copied over the older ones.
