Client Mode: Separate by Synchronized Fit Testing for Administrators and Subjects
The Administrator's Role in Fit Testing
The fit test administrator plays a crucial role in the success of a Respiratory Protection Program. Conducting a fit test with the PortaCount™ Respirator Fit Tester requires more than just clicking buttons; it involves understanding the fit test process and analyzing results, such as monitoring the Fit Factor radial gauge or the Ambient Particle Count.
Optimizing Fit Test Workflow with Client Mode
To enhance efficiency, administrators may prefer separate devices for themselves and the fit test subject. Client Mode within the PortaCount™ Fit Tester allows this, providing a full-featured interface for the administrator and a simplified view for the test subject. This separation ensures the administrator can focus on managing the test, while the subject sees only what’s needed.
Setting Up Client Mode
In this setup, the administrator uses a Windows device running PortaCount™ Fit Tester's FitPro™ Ultra Fit Test software, connected to the Fit Tester via a USB serial connection. The test subject uses a second device running FPUClient, which provides animations and step-by-step guidance through the fit test protocol. The subject's device connects to the PortaCount Fit Tester via a dedicated Wi-Fi link, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted communication.
