Shoreview, Minnesota—TSI, Inc. is proud to announce that its SidePak™ Personal Aerosol Monitor product has won a 2017 Product of the Year honor from Occupational Health & Safety magazine. OH&S and an independent panel of judges recognized the SidePak as Product of the Year for Industrial Hygiene.
TSI's SidePak Personal Aerosol Monitor AM520 is a small, wearable, data-logging and light-scattering laser photometer. It provides real-time readings of dusts, silica, fumes, mists, smoke and fog inside a worker's breathing zone. The SidePak enables personal aerosol sampling in manufacturing industries, foundries, construction sites, chemical plants, refineries, mines, and other environments. Visual and audible alarms warn the wearer of air quality dangers. An earlier version of the SidePak was part of an important study by the British Lung Foundation.
"We were proud to bring home the 2017 Product of the Year award from the National Safety Council Congress & Expo last month," said Kevin Chase, TSI Global Product Manager for Health & Safety. "The SidePak is a great tool for respirable dust monitoring in nearly every kind of industry and service agency. It provides exposure data that helps protects workers in real-time. It's been a game-changer for us and for many of our customers. The Product of the Year Award confirms what we're hearing from our customers, who have been enthusiastic about this latest addition to our dust monitoring products. We're grateful for this recognition and proud that we're able to contribute to keeping workers safe with the SidePak."
OH&S plans to recognize 2017 Product of the Year winners in their December issue of Occupational Health & Safety magazine.
