Factors Affecting High-Throughput Filter Testing
Join our webinar to learn more!
When 100% testing of filters is required (e.g. for P100, FFP3, P3 and similar respirator filters and cartridges), the testing equipment is often incorporated directly into the automated production line. The reliability and speed of the testing is critical for high throughput of the produced filters.
In this webinar, you will learn how different factors affect high-throughput filter testing:
Real case study data will be presented as an illustration of the importance of these different factors by comparing two similar but distinct instruments, one designed for certification testing in the laboratory - the Automated Filter Tester 8130A - and the other designed for integration in the production line - the Automated Filter Tester 8150, in simulated production line conditions.
Finally, an examination of the long-term repeatability and recovery time after a failed test will be provided in order to show two additional important factors for maximizing test throughput and accuracy.
Justin Koczak joined TSI as an applications engineer in 2019. Justin did his M.S. and Ph.D. studies at the University of Michigan, specializing in particle emissions from GDI engine combustion. He is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR), and the American Chemical Society (ACS).
Dan Troolin earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. He is a Sr. Applications Engineer at TSI working with the Particle Instruments Division.
