Nanoparticle Measurements in Motion - Stationary and Mobile Applications
Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2026
Time: 9:00 – 16:30
Location: ZHAW School of Engineering - Building TN, Room TN O1.46
Language: English
Ultrafine particles (UFP) and nanoparticles play an increasingly important role in environmental monitoring, aviation-related emissions, and applied research. This one-day TSI seminar brings together experts from science and practice to discuss current challenges, measurement strategies, and practical solutions for monitoring particle number concentrations across a range of applications.
The seminar combines technical presentations with hands-on demonstrations, offering both theoretical insight and practical experience with modern particle measurement instrumentation.
Highlight - Optional Airport Visit
Day before the seminar, April 21: Participants will have the opportunity to join an optional tour of the measurement setup at the airport, providing direct insight into real-world aircraft emission measurements and monitoring infrastructure.
Guest Speakers
Dr. Tobias Schripp (ZHAW School of Engineering): Jet Engine Emission Measurements
Additional speakers will be announced soon.
Who Should Attend
- Researchers and scientists working in aerosol science, air quality, or aviation-related studies
- Environmental monitoring professionals
- University and applied research institutions
- Anyone interested in practical and regulatory aspects of UFP and nanoparticle measurements
Registration
Further details on attending and the optional airport visit will be shared before the seminar.
