PDA Midwest Chapter - 13th Annual Microbial Contamination and Control Conference

DON'T MISS IT
MIKE IS SPEAKING AT THE CONFERENCE

Date — September 22
Time — 3 p.m.

Our own expert, Mike Dingle, Senior Application Specialist, will be speaking at the 13th Annual Microbial Contamination and Control Conference presented by the PDA Midwest Chapter. Don't miss his talk — Viable Air Testing and the Myth of Detecting 1 CFU (colony forming unit).

This presentation will discuss some common misconceptions associated with viable air testing in Grade A environments, and what implications those misconceptions can have when implementing an alternative method. These and other questions will be addressed:

  • What is a CFU and what does it represent?
  • Does a viable air test method need to have a limit of detection of 1 CFU to monitor an aseptic environment?
  • What should the detection requirement for an alternative method be?

PDA Midwest Chapter is holding a one day event full of thought provoking presentations addressing the opportunities and microbial challenges within the industry. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleanroom design
  • Microbial risk assessment addressing contamination
  • Viable air testing
  • Considerations for demonstrating in-use microbiological stability of parenteral drug products

In addition to the presentations, the conference will feature tabletop exhibits that will allow peer-to-peer discussions and exhibitor showcase. Be sure to stop by and visit with TSI distributor, Acumen Technology—the proud Platinum Sponsor of the day's event—where they will be featuring TSI environmental monitoring instruments.
