Product Details

The power of the MacroIMS Macroion Mobility Spectrometer is its ability to analyze macromolecules and nanoparticles that are too large for mass spectrometry, with a level of accuracy and resolution not achievable with light scatter-based detectors. Increase productivity of experimental workflow with the optional autosampler system.

The MacroIMS Macroion Mobility Spectrometer is a powerful complement to liquid chromatographic, FFF, and AUC separations and MS analyses.

  • Wide dynamic mass range -- From 8 kDa to over 100 MDa (ca. 2.5-100 nm)
  • High resolution analyses -- Comparable to AUC and HPLC-SEC
  • Macromolecule sizing accuracy -- SMPS-based sizing shows excellent agreement to TEM
  • High sensitivity -- Detect small aggregates and large protein complexes that prove challenging with mass spectrometry
  • Measure multimodal size distributions to determine degrees of aggregation, or fractionate complex mixtures
  • Spare valuable samples -- Use as little as 20 µL of (diluted) sample per analysis
  • Rapid time-to-results -- Generate data in as little as 10 minutes
  • Hands-free operation --  Seamless connection to most autosamplers
  • Interface with HPLC-SEC and mass spectrometry -- Improve overall resolving power
  • No shearing forces -- Separation and analysis take place in the gas phase at atmospheric pressure
