Combustion Diagnostics

Combustion DiagnosticsOptical systems have a noninvasive nature that allows users to take measurements without inserting a probe into the measurement region. Because of this, optical systems do not suffer from measurement disturbance, making them ideal for combustion diagnostics. Hostile and restrictive environments like diesel engines and commercial burners, especially, will benefit from the accessibility, safety, and accuracy of TSI's optical systems for combustion diagnostics.

Most of the optical systems are planar measurements—they provide a 2-dimensional result for the parameter of interest. Some of the systems can be expanded to volumetric measurement, providing a 3-dimensional result.

TSI offers a number of optical systems especially suited for combustion diagnostics and characterization.

  • Upgradable optical systems can expand capability by adding hardware
  • Expandable from 1D to 2D or 3D; from single point to planar or volumetric
