Maintenance
TSI recommends replacing the PM sensor once a year.
Cleaning frequency will depend on the conditions around where the monitor is mounted. If the screen is dirty, remove it and clean it with compressed air and/or water.
Use a wet cloth to wipe off the housing. Do not submerge or pour water over the monitor. Also do not use cleaning chemicals.
Contact TSI to purchase new screws to fasten the base of the monitor to the cover.
Error codes will be logged along with the measurement data on TSI Link™ Solutions and on the SD card. For details on the error codes, see the BlueSky monitor manual Chapter 5 which contains detailed error code descriptions.
To change the PM sensor in your BlueSky monitor, first remove the cover from the monitor. Disconnect the cable from the PC board before removing the sensor. Push the tab (tab is located on the right side) to the right while pulling the sensor assembly straight up.
The PC board is not replaceable by the user and should not be attempted.
Your BlueSky monitor may be returned to TSI for recycling and disposal.
Please dispose of used sensors in accordance with your local regulations.
There are no additional accessories at this time. There are replacement parts available for the PM sensor (single sensor, pack of 5 sensors), mounting bracket, power supply (North America-style power supply, European-style power supply, UK-style power supply), PM sensor screen, and screws.
No, users cannot zero the PM sensor or check the zero of the PM sensor on their own.
You will be asked when (or if) you want to upgrade your BlueSky monitor’s firmware. If a new firmware is available, TSI Link Solutions will notify you. You can choose when to upgrade – however please note that critical firmware updates will automatically update after you delay three times, which is the industry standard. To upgrade your firmware, your BlueSky monitor needs to be connected to Wi-Fi/Internet.
Firmware is updated through the TSI Link Solutions. TSI Link will alert you to any available firmware, and you can choose to delay it or upgrade. Please note that critical firmware will automatically update after you delay three times, which is the industry standard. Also, yes, your BlueSky monitor will need to be connected to WiFi in order for the firmware to update.
If the Wi-Fi connection is lost during a firmware update, your BlueSky monitor will revert to its earlier firmware configuration.
