The CEL-246 Series is a handheld Sound Level Meter ideal for walk through surveys and general occupational noise measurements. The 246 Series is an easy to use instrument with a high resolution graphical display. Implementing the latest digital technology, the 246 Series Sound Level Meter gives absolute reliability, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and performance, all housed in a rugged and compact design.

This sound level meter has a simple user interface using two ‘softkeys’. This makes the instrument very easy to use and any setup changes are retained the next time the unit is switched on. To accurately measure fluctuating noise levels, the CEL-246 model gives instantaneous and maximum dB levels with A or C frequency weightings, plus fast, slow and impulse time weightings. The 246 model measures average values, integrated over time; Leq for European Standards and Lavg for the USA. The CEL-246 model is also a logging variant, storing time history data with enough memory to store 419,000 data points.

The CEL-246 Sound Level Meter is compatible with the Casella CEL-120 Calibrator.

Like other models the CEL-246 Series Sound Level Meter is powered by three AAA batteries which gives a battery life of 35 hours (approximately).
