Leveraging TSI Link™ Alerts: A Guide to Maximize Air Quality Monitoring

In today's fast-paced world, it is critical to be proactive and stay informed, especially when it comes to maintaining healthy air quality. With the rise of air pollution and environmental concerns, organizations and individuals are increasingly turning to air quality monitoring solutions to safeguard their health and well-being.

One of the most valuable features of these monitoring systems is the ability to receive real-time alert notifications, which is one of the main features provided by TSI Link™ Solutions. These alerts serve as a crucial tool for identifying potential air quality issues promptly and taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

The Key Benefits of Alerts Notifications

1. Early Warning

Alert notifications can be set up to act as an early warning system, providing timely information about changes in air quality conditions. Whether it's a sudden increase in particulate matter levels, elevated levels of harmful gases, or other pollutants, receiving alerts allows individuals and organizations to take immediate action to protect themselves and their surroundings.

2. Proactive Response

By receiving alerts in real-time, users can proactively respond to air quality issues before they escalate into more significant problems. This may include adjusting ventilation systems, implementing air filtration measures, or temporarily relocating individuals to safer areas. Proactive measures help minimize exposure to harmful pollutants and reduce the risk of adverse health effects.

3. Customized Thresholds

Most air quality monitoring systems allow users to set customized thresholds for alert notifications based on their specific needs and requirements. This flexibility ensures that alerts are tailored to individual preferences and priorities, whether it's complying with regulatory standards, protecting sensitive populations, or maintaining optimal indoor air quality levels.

4. Remote Monitoring

In today's increasingly connected world, remote monitoring capabilities are essential. With alert notifications delivered directly to users' mobile devices or email accounts, individuals can stay informed about air quality conditions regardless of their location. This enables remote monitoring of air quality in various indoor and outdoor environments, providing peace of mind and assurance.

5. Data-Driven Responses

Alert notifications are matched with TIS Link dashboards and historical trends. So before you even get to the location, you are empowered with data to assess the air quality dynamics. By analyzing historical alert data and trends, users can identify patterns, pinpoint sources of pollution, and implement targeted interventions to improve air quality over time. This data-driven approach ensures efficient resource allocation and maximizes the effectiveness of air quality management efforts.

  • Access Alerts Set up

Once you are logged in to TSI Link platform, you have two options to access alert setup screen:

  1. From the Manage Device page

  2. From a current readings card on the Map view

  • Adding alerts

As you open the alert section, you can customize the various parameter, including the type of measurement, the alert level, the condition to trigger the alerts, the text message and the frequency. In addition, in this view you are required to select how you want to get the notifications, either via email and /or mobile.

  • Editing alerts

You can follow the same process as adding alerts to edit. Please note that you can edit only selected parameters such as the alert level, threshold, frequency and messaging. Hint: if you need to change the other fields, you should delete the alerts and create a new one.

  • Receiving the Alert Notification

In the setup process, you need to define also how you prefer to receive your alert notifications, via SMS, email or both. After that you need to opt-in in order to activate this service and enable notifications.

For SMS text alerts, you will need to reply Yes to the opt-in SMS. Typically, alert notifications are sent only to the device owner, but you can forward the text message or the email to others in your team.
