Fast Screening Impactor (FSI)

Model Number: 0185-98-1000

Designed using NGI principles and suited for MDIs, DPIs, and nasal sprays.

Product Details

The Fast Screening Impactor (FSI) is an advanced tool designed using Next Generation Impactor (NGI) principles. It is specifically tailored for Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs), Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs), and nasal sprays. The FSI efficiently separates the inhaler device dose into Coarse Particle Mass (CPM), Fine Particle Mass (FPM), and a standard or custom cut point.

Application

  • Product Development: Facilitates detailed analysis and development of inhalation products with customizable cut points.

Features & Benefits

  • NGI Principles: Utilizes proven NGI Preseparator technology for accurate and reliable dose separation.
  • Suitability: Ideal for MDIs, DPIs, and nasal sprays, making it a versatile choice for various inhalation products.
  • Efficient Dose Separation: Separates the dose into CPM and FPM, ensuring precise measurement and analysis.
  • Customizable Cut Points: Offers both standard and custom cut points to meet specific testing requirements.
  • Time-Saving: Streamlines the testing process, reducing the time required for APSD testing.
  • Cost-Effective: Minimizes the need for extensive chemical analysis, saving resources.
  • Reliable Results: Delivers accurate and reproducible data, ensuring product quality and safety.

To complete a fully functional test setup for determining the CPM, FPM, or LPM/SPM ratio, the Vacuum Pump, Critical Flow Controller, Flow Rate Sensor, Mouthpiece Adapter, and Glass Expansion Chamber are required in addition to the FSI.
