• Integrating vs. Non-Integrating: For stable noise levels, a standard meter suffices. However, in environments with fluctuating noise, an integrating averaging meter (which calculates Leq/Lavg) provides a more accurate representation of average noise energy over time, which is critical for compliance with OSHA and ACGIH standards.
