After a nearly year-long pause due to global supply chain disruptions, TSI is pleased to announce the Fluidized Bed Aerosol Generator Model 3400A is once again available for purchase.
Supply of Critical Components Restored
The temporary unavailability was primarily caused by limited access to a critical component: precision-engineered bronze beads. These beads, essential to the deagglomeration process that makes the 3400A so effective, must meet stringent criteria in terms of density, shape, hardness, and size distribution. Only a small number of specialized manufacturers worldwide are capable of producing bronze beads that meet TSI’s demanding specifications.
Thanks to the resolution of these supply issues, customers can now benefit again from one of the most trusted tools in aerosol generation.

The 3400A has been a staple product of TSI’s aerosol generator portfolio for nearly five decades, first developed in collaboration with the University of Minnesota Particle Technology Laboratory. Renowned for its reliable powder dispersion, the 3400A is specifically designed to fluidize and deagglomerate challenging powders and dust, providing stable, reproducible, and adjustable aerosol output.
