Group Fit Testing: Increase Efficiency, Save Time

Respirator fit testing is essential for workplace safety and compliance but can be time-intensive when conducted one person at a time. Group Fit Testing eliminates the need for individual testing by allowing up to four employees to be fit tested simultaneously. Using their own PortaCount Fit Testing devices, multiple fit tests can be overseen by a single fit test administrator, saving personnel hours and helping reduce overhead costs.

How Group Fit Testing Works

Group-Fit-Testing.pngThe Group Fit Testing feature allows a fit test administrator to connect up to four PortaCount™ Fit Tester devices to one computer or tablet running FitPro™ Ultra software. This setup enables the administrator to run and manage up to four separate fit tests at once. FitPro Ultra software automatically splits the screen to accommodate the number of connected PortaCount devices, giving the administrator control over each fit test independently.

Each test subject would use their own computer or tablet with Client mode running on the FitPro Ultra Client software, which is linked to the administrator’s primary software. This allows tests to be started, stopped, and monitored asynchronously, ensuring a smooth and efficient testing process.

Key Benefits:
  • Multiple Tests, One Administrator: Run up to four fit tests simultaneously, reducing the need for additional administrators.
  • Flexible Testing Options: Test different respirator types (e.g., N95, full-face respirators) in a single session.
  • Consolidated Data: All fit test data is stored in a unified database, streamlining record-keeping.
With Group Fit Testing, organizations can complete more fit tests in less time, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. This feature reduces the administrative burden and offers flexibility to test various respirators simultaneously, all while consolidating results into one system.
