Multi-Building IAQ Monitoring: How a Global Tech Company Scaled Air Quality Across Its Campus with TSI

Maintaining a healthy, comfortable workplace while reducing energy use has become a priority for many companies. The Facility Management team wanted an IAQ monitoring solution that would let them:

According to the facility manager, a scalable IAQ program providing real-time data and reporting was critical to maintaining and improving occupant health and well-being. The Solution: A Connected Indoor + Outdoor Monitoring Network

After evaluating the available options, the Facility Management team selected TSI and began with a pilot project across a few office buildings.

Working closely with the TSI Sales Manager, the team installed 14 AirAssure™ IAQ monitors and set up the TSI Link™ Software. Because outdoor conditions affect the indoor environment, they also added several TSI BlueSky™ outdoor air quality monitors beside selected buildings — giving them a complete overview of both indoor and outdoor air quality.

How It Worked in Practice

The Facility Management team valued being able to manage every device and access all data in one place, at any time. Using TSI Link Monitoring, they appreciated the accessibility of the dashboard and the ability to receive custom alerts in real time whenever a value crossed a set threshold.

“I set up diverse alerts for relative humidity and PM2.5 and monitored the performance over time during our test phase. Besides alert notifications via SMS and email, I found the alert history function very useful to identify trends and make the right decisions.”

The dashboard also made it easy to share IAQ measurements among stakeholders in different locations, improving collaboration and productivity. TSI Link API was the other key component the company leveraged: integrating data with the local building management system (BMS) gave the team the insight and guidance needed to improve efficiency — optimizing the HVAC system, reducing overall energy use, and lowering both costs and carbon footprint.
