Exporting Data

TrakPro Ultra allows you to export study data as a CSV file format.  Microsoft Excel and other analytical software can import these files so that you can perform additional analysis.    The format of these CSV files is shown as it appears in Excel.  These files contain:

• Key study demographic information
• Calibration data
• Data statistics
• Tabular listing of data values

An example of a CSV export is shown below.

 

Exporting Data

To export a study as a CSV file:

1. Go to the Study List and click the Three Dot menu for the study of interest. 

2. Click Export.  A file explorer window will open allowing you to specify a location to save the CSV file.  You can rename it if you like.  Click Export to create the file.

3. Open the Saved file using Excel. Be sure to select the "All Files" option for file type. 

4. Excel's Text Import Wizard - Step 1 of 3 will launch. Be sure to select the "Delimited" radio button option. Select Next> to get to Step 2 of 3. 

5. On Text Import Wizard - Step 2 of 3 deselect the Tab Delimeter option and select the Comma option. Then use Next> to go to Step 3 of 3. 

6. On Text Import Wizard - Step 3 of 3 select Finish.

7. To preserve formating changes be sure to save your work as an Excel Workbook.
