TSI instruments part of two recent air quality studies in Europe

We're proud to see two TSI instruments playing prominent roles in air quality studies in recent weeks.  We frequently find TSI particle counters, IAQ meters, personal air monitors, and other devices featured in published papers around the world. Here's more information about these two most recent papers.

Particle pollution research

During the last week of November 2019, researchers published these studies on indoor and outdoor air quality. Both projects used TSI instruments to measure airborne particles.

• PM2.5 on the London Underground. Researchers from King's College London, the University of Southampton, and the National Institute for Health Research published this study on dust and particle concentrations in London's Underground subway system. For this project, researchers used TSI SidePak AM510 personal air monitors. (Published in Environment International on Science Direct.)  Learn about TSI air and dust monitors.
   
• Measuring ultra fine particles on a wood-burning stove and pellet stove. Researchers in this citizen-led project used a handheld TSI Condensation Particle Counter 3007 to measure ultrafine particle emissions from wood-burning and pellet stoves inside a home.
