BlueSky Air Quality Monitor Now Available in India

2021/4/19 Bangalore, India

TSI’s BlueSky™ Air Quality Monitor Now Available in IndiaAir pollution is an increasing concern in many areas of the world. A 2019 study revealed that 1.67 million deaths were attributed to air pollution alone in India that year. Some instruments on the market today output broad Air Quality Index (AQI) measurements—but what if there were a way to measure air pollution on a more localized level?

TSI Incorporated’s BlueSky™ Air Quality Monitor, a low-cost, lightweight, laser-based particle instrument designed to simultaneously measure PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10 mass concentrations, as well as temperature and humidity, is now available in India.

Many urban areas in India reach PM concentrations of 0.5 mg/m3 and higher, and the high concentrations do not affect the accuracy of the BlueSky™ Air Quality Monitor.

While specifically designed for outdoor environmental monitoring, BlueSky™ Air Quality Monitors can also be used inside buildings, homes and manufacturing facilities to measure indoor air quality. The easy-to-install monitors connect to TSI Link, a cloud-based data solution that reports data in real-time, for remote viewing on an interactive map.

“We are excited to offer the BlueSky Air Quality Monitor in India, in an effort to empower local agencies, schools and healthcare facilities to monitor local air quality,” said Jacky Schmit, Market Development Director at TSI. “TSI has more than 50 years of experience in particle measurements, and customers can expect the same reliability and quality TSI products are known for.”

Users also have the option to program a custom calibration factor, and the unit’s self- diagnostics notify users of instrument performance, while maintaining data integrity.
